Description ON-SITE WASTEWATER INSPECTOR

Williamson County Government is seeking a qualified individual for the position of On-Site
Wastewater Inspector. Reporting to the Director of Sewage Disposal Management, this position
will inspect on-site wastewater systems to ensure compliance with the regulations of
Williamson County. Additional duties will be assigned at the discretion of the Director.

Successful applicant shall possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Plant and
Soil Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology or closely related field. Knowledge and/or
experience with the science and installation of on-site wastewater systems would be desirable.
In lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience in
the installation and repair of on-site wastewater systems can be considered, and/or a
background in regulatory compliance can be considered.

A valid Tennessee Driver’s license is required.

Salary range is $17.96 to $20.65/hour DOE.
